Dark Shape

Homeowner was unhappy when boyfriend came home a little tipsy...Feeling uncomfortable I tried to lighten the situation by asking them to kiss & make-up and I would take their photos..This dark shape completely obliterated the homeowner's image in the photo.  Is this a being that inhabits the home or some type of thought form or projection of the homeowners own emotions?
